The Sun and the World...

My wife says that Portugal has a beautiful sky...there are many days in the year with no clouds, with just the beautiful sun.
Here are two pictures, the first from Lobito (Angola) and the second from old Goa (India). Sometimes we forgot it is the same sun.
The sun is the same but it testifies so many different things and situations. Peace and War live beneath the same sun. You can be under the same sun at completely different places, and feel completely different energies...
Since I left India I knew I was going to return. Especially the energy is appealing, the general way to look at life is simple, honest and true. "The guest is God" ...they say...yes, they see God in many ways and forms.
In Local African knowledge it is said that we are all connected, all in one, so if I hurt myself or the other the world gets affected.
It seems that all the world has this important, ancient knowledge and understanding ... "truth and non violence are as old as the hills" Mahatma Gandhi
But, under the same sun the people may talk different, think different, dress different, look different...and when it comes to the basic, like Human Rights, the problems created by humans (who in the end are so similar) are the same, maybe with different reasons but people with more power always find a way to discriminate others...
Like one teacher once said....if we looked at the world from the sky and realised how little and insignificant we are (and precious at the same time)...we could more easily lose our ego´s... ...

The return to India...

Sunset at palolem beach (Goa)

"If there is one place on the face of the earth where all the dreams of living men have found home from the very earliest days when man began the dream of existence, it is India"
Romain Rolland (Nobel prize in Literature - 1915)

Lobito´s Bay...

Here is our "home" for the last 2 years....this picture is from 1975...but it works....we live in a building on the middle of the "restinga" ... the long and narrow stretch of land....
